The South Humber Ladies League

The South Humber Ladies League (SHLL) provides the opportunity for girls aged from ten to sixteen to play football in the Scunthorpe, Brigg, Barton, Grimsby and Lincoln areas.

See ‘where we operate’ for full details of our catchment area.

The South Humber Ladies League is a FA Respect league. We recognise that it is the collective responsibility of everyone involved in football to create a safe and enjoyable environment in which the game can take place and we encourage member clubs to play their matches in a friendly, fair manner.

We are also the first ladies league in England to be awarded FA Charter Standard League (CSL) status in recognition of our plans to:

  • increase the number of children and young adults playing football for our clubs;
  • help clubs develop their players by promoting a culture of learning where there is an emphasis on player development over results;
  • proactively support the FA Respect programme;
  • encourage greater use of small sided football formats (3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 etc)

The South Humber Ladies League is a FA Charter Standard LeagueOur member clubs include: Barton, Bottesford, Brigg Utd, Broughton Ravers, Clee Town, Greenbank, Forrest Rangers, Healing, Keelby, Lincoln Griffins, Long Bennington, Marshalls Sports, Normanby and Burton, Park Tigers, Sleaford, Solar and Welton SS Girls.
